Ingredients

  • ½ package King's Hawaiian Rolls sliced in half widthwise (6 rolls)
  • 4 oz sliced deli ham
  • 3 oz sliced swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 ½ teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch black pepper

Instructions

  • Start by slicing your rolls in half widthwise. Then, form an aluminum foil rectangle that will fit your sandwiches. The edges should be 3-4 inches high.
  • Place the bottom half of your rolls into the aluminum foil, and layer in about half of the sliced deli ham.
  • Add the swiss cheese, overlapping if necessary.
  • Add in the remaining deli ham, and then the tops of your Hawaiian rolls. Set aside.
  • Combine your melted butter with the poppy seeds, dried minced onion, garlic powder, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and pinch of black pepper. Whisk well to combine.
  • Gently pour the sauce on top of your rolls, trying your best to do so as evenly as possible.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 325°F for 3 minutes, or according to your manufacturers instructions.
  • Gently place the rolls in their aluminum foil holder, into the basket of your air fryer.
  • Top with an additional sheet of foil, and tuck it in carefully.
  • Place the basket back into the air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are nicely browned and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the air fryer, and cool for 2 minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Without Hawaiian Rolls: If you can't find Hawaiian rolls, you can use regular rolls and instead add 1 tablespoon of honey to the sauce portion of the recipe. This will add the sweetness that you normally get from Hawaiian rolls.
Foil: Make sure there is enough room for air to circulate around your foil. Keep it centered in the basket, and make a smaller batch if you have a very small air fryer. This was made in a 6 quart basket style air fryer.
