Notes
Yields: 6 ½ tablespoonsSalt: Good-quality flaky or coarse salt is an integral part of the classic everything bagel seasoning, and so I recommend it for this copycat version. We like Maldon best, but kosher salt flakes work well and are a budget-friendly alternative.Larger or smaller batches: This recipe can be scaled down (or up) to make the desired amount. I like to keep a single batch on hand and make more as needed, as a high humidity environment can cause the blend to clump.
Single serving: 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, ½ teaspoon black sesame seeds, ½ teaspoon poppy seeds, ½ teaspoon dried minced onion, ½ teaspoon dried minced garlic, and ¼ teaspoon flaky or coarse salt.
If it does clump: Break it up with a fork. If you know you get clumping, sprinkle in a bit of rice starch when you first make it.
