Notes
*If you like a concentrated flavor, try 1 ½ cups of sour cream instead of 2 cups. I've even used as low as 1 cup, but it can be salty, so use a low-sodium version if you're going to use just 1 cup. Storage: Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.Make ahead: Chill for up to 24 hours before you need it. Garnish (if desired) and serve. With Greek yogurt: Replace the sour cream with a good quality sour cream. I recommend using a 4-5% type, but 0% will work well too. Aim for brands with a thick consistency.California shrimp dip: Add ¼ cup of ketchup and 1 cup of chopped cooked shrimp. Serve with chips or crackers.
