Ingredients

  • 6 jalapeno peppers cut in half and seeded
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon cut in half

Instructions

  • Cut each of your jalapeno peppers in half and scoop out the seeds and any white pith. Use gloves to protect your hands, since jalapeno peppers can leave capsaicin on your hands if they are not protected.
  • Place the jalapeno peppers, cut side up, on a baking sheet or tray. Add the softened cream cheese to a small bowl and mix until smooth with a small whisk or silicone spatula. If your cream cheese is not soft enough, try microwaving it for 10-15 seconds.
  • Add the shredded cheese to the blended cream cheese and fold it it until completely combined.
  • Spoon some of the cream cheese filling into each jalapeno half, and level it off with the back of your spoon. Once all of the jalapeno peppers are filled with the cream cheese mixture, wrap them in half of a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 390F for at least 3 minutes, or according to your manufactures instructions.
  • Place the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers into the basket of your air fryer and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the filling is bubbling.
  • Remove from the air fryer and place on a paper towel lined plate. Repeat with the remaining bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, refrigerate your uncooked jalapeno poppers in between batches. This will help the bacon stay in place and cook evenly.
Keeping warm: In between batches in your air fryer, you can keep your poppers warm in an oven set to 350F OR reheat them in the air fryer after all jalapeno poppers are cooked. This takes just 1-2 minutes.
Doubling: You can double, triple, or quadruple this recipe! Just take care to work in batches to ensure that the poppers can cook evenly and the bacon crisp up. Overcrowding will prevent this!
Oven Instructions: Preheat your oven to 425F and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
