Cinnamon Roll Casserole

This easy Cinnamon Roll Casserole recipe is perfect for special occasions like Christmas morning breakfast, Thanksgiving, potlucks, and more!  Just a few simple ingredients come together to make a fluffy, fragrant, and decadent breakfast that the whole family will love.

Let’s get started!

Quarter cinnamon rolls

01

Using either canned cinnamon rolls OR unbaked homemade ones, cut each round into quarters.

Add to a Baking Dish

02

Place the quarted cinnamon rolls into a greased baking dish into an even layer.

Make the custard mixture

03

Whisk the eggs and add the heavy cream (or milk), buttermilk, vanilla, cinnamon, maple syrup, and honey.

Pour over the cinnamon rolls

04

Take your custard mixture and pour it evenly over the cinnamon roll layer.

Bake it

05

Bake the oven for 28-33 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly browned.

Spread the frosting

06

Add the reserved frosting (that came with your cinnamon rolls) to the warm casserole, spreading it into an even layer.

Slice

07

Once the frosting is spread and the casserole has cooled briefly, cut into serving pieces.

Serve

08

Remove each slice and top with addition frosting (if desired) and serve warm. Enjoy!
